Lo Studio, for good food and decor

Lo Studio was the venue of choice for Friday’s dinner. Your Restaurants gave mixed reviews, but the main issue seemed that it was quiet, and when we arrived it was. However, it quickly started to fill and by the time we left the place was pretty much full. One of the standouts was the decor. The clean, simple, and white with touches of brown and black really appealed to me.

My Moscow Mule was made with rum instead of vodka, but I survived. The scallops for entree were nice, but the highlight was the main. My thick ribbon pasta came out with mussels, pippies and some nice prawns all wrapped up. It tasted great and was the perfect size for me that night.

We didn’t hang around for dessert, nothing looked that tempting. Instead we wandered around the corner to Mars Lounge for a couple of drinks and some great tunes.

Apparently, Lo Studio just won the ‘Best New Italian Restaurant’ award at the 2006 Restaurant and Catering Awards. Congrats!
